The largest island of the 30 is Great Harbour Cay. The island stretches over 1,520 hectares of land. The island is a favourite with the rich and the elite. You find excellent accommodation options here as well, although they all come at exorbitant rates.

Crooked Island

With age-old ruins and tranquil sandy terrains, Crooked Island is part of the Bight of Acklins. The island isn’t heavily populated, which makes it heavenly for tourists craving peace and tranquillity during their holiday. This is where you find the first-ever post office in the Bahamas; you can see the ruins of the building in Pitt’s Town. Meanwhile, the northern part of the island features old British fortifications.
